Oh so hungry
Oh so tired
My schedule is all messed up from last night's sleepover. 14 cousins squishing into Sarah and Shannon's living room, eating veggies and dip, chicken and garlic bread, and watching How I Met Your Mother. Staying up til 5 until we finally finished season 2, drawing a tram stamp on Thein's back, and then passing out for a couple hours, til we had to come back home again. I love it all!

Spuds in Spurs
I love Phamily
Spent last night talking w/ Khue and Mary about wonderful nonsense and naming all the hot celebrity boys we could think of til early morning, and then woke up to Mary's voice and a cold quesadilla. Delicious!
My day went a little something like this...
- lunch at Corner Bakery w/ Mary, Daisy, and Khue. Amazing paninis and salad!
- Westminster Mall w/ the above and Jessica
- Walked around in circles, not having any idea where we were going
- Walked into Hot Topic, hated the loud music and crowd, and waited outside with Daisy because she was too scared to go back in
- Victoria's Secret to cover out arms in different scents/lotions/body glitter until we walked out smelling like a mix of Jolly Ranchers, coconut, vanilla, and berries
- Snickerdoodle cookie from Mrs. Fields!
- Mary realized she lost her wallet
- Retracing our steps and going back to every store we were in to try to find it
- Failing!
- Hand sanitizer battle (don't ask)
- Trying on ridiculous shoes at Payless while waiting for a ride
- Driven home by my mom because Mary's license was gone along with her wallet
- Failing again at that stupid game where you have to be the first one to call "NOT IT!" and ended up having to wash dishes
- Doorbell rang and random lady came up to Mary and gave her her wallet because she saw our address on the license
- Success!!
- Zoolander
hahahaha, today was too much fun. I haven't laughed this much in the past week in awhile!

Christmas '08 is over in approximately 15 minutes
All in all, it was a fantastic Christmas. The process involved many hugs and tissue paper, but it was all worth it.
First stop was my grandparents on my mom's side. Little cousins running around everywhere. My ankles have carpet burns on them from racing down the stairs and trying to catch the little tots and force them to take a picture with me. After a few unsuccessful attempts where I ended up having a flip-flop thrown at me, I got my pictures! But my little sister lost the camera, so we'll just have to make do with the mental images for right now...
Second stop was my grandma's house on my dad's side. I love big families! We ended up staying there for about 5 hours, just talking with the cousins: Twilight being the main topic of the evening. Pictures were also the main event, trying to squeeze the whole family around a teensy little tree, and the aunts yelling at my cousin to run into the picture before the timer goes off. Classic!
And this Christmas is pretty momentous, being that I baked my first cake today! Funfetti to be exact, and it turned out better than I thought it would be. Khue, Mary, and I went out on a desperate search for frosting, and ended up going to Stater Bros, Albertson's, and 7-Eleven, with no success at all. However, we dug up some old icing from an earlier pumpkin bread adventure, and it worked out perfectly!
Alrighty, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight...

Working hard or hardly working?
I. Can't. Dance. At all.
How are you supposed to dance at a party without looking like a slut or a hooker? I honestly have no idea, whatsoever. Is there some kind of manual I'm just not reading? Some kind of meeting I didn't attend but everyone else did? I'm going to be a wallflower for the rest of my life
I want YOU!

Good 'ol Days
Ugh, work tomorrow. I know I should be thankful I have a job and make money, but I honestly cannot stand sitting at a desk all day and typing things out on the computer, or filing papers til my fingers are covered in band-aids from paper cuts. How does my mom do it every single day?
Today I was cleaning up my mess of a room with my little sister, when I stumbled across an old journal, year 2005. It goes a little something like this...
October 22, 2005
Today I walked home in the rain. It was very, very cold. I was very wet when I got home.
hahaha, Very introspective, huh?

The Duchess
I rambled on down to Balboa to see the boat parade with my family a few hours ago, and I was pleasantly surprised. I actually enjoyed myself! It's crazy how wired up people get and they decorate their houses like madmen. One house was dripping, overflowing, cascading, bedazzled with lights. It was insane! I almost feel sorry for them, because their enegy bill is bound to be sky-high, but then I figured that if they have the money to live on the beach and have a huge 'ol house with millions of lights, they could afford it.
The Phantom of the Opera is amazing. How can people sing like that? I've seen it 10 times, and I still enjoy watching it and (attempting to) sing along. Second movie of the day was The Duchess, with Kierra Knightly. Such a scandalous movie, who knew the olden days could have so much drama?
Ahh, I feel so Christmas-sy from the evening, I love it! Happy first day of Winter!

Conjuntion-junction, what's your function?
School House Rock is and will always be amazing
Busy busy day. Volleyball, shopping w/ Becky, eating, napping, Mamma Mia.... It was a nice Saturday
Plans for break? HIMYM sleepover/marathon at Shannon's, cousin sleepover with Khue (hopefully!), Christmas shopping, shopping with Christmas money, Phamily Christmas parties, hanging with Nasa, pictures with Quynh and Tiffany, HSM3 with Mary and Daisy, spending time with the little cousins (Giovanni! I miss the little munchkin), a buttload of homework, and PLENTY of food. Sounds good to me!
Dangit! I was just about to go to sleep, but I washed by face with Clean & Clear Morning Burst and I'm refreshed and energized again. I'm going to be dead in church tomorrow. Who knew face wash could be so strong?
hahaha, Thein, Khoung, and An got me hooked on Chuck Norris jokes during our travels to Mexico in the summer

- If you have five dollars and Churck Norris had five dollars, Churck Norris would have more money than you
- There is no "ctrl" button on Chuck Norris's computer. Chuck Norris is always in control.
- Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.
- Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits.
- Apple pays Chuck Norris 99 cents every time he listens to a song.
- Chuck Norris counted to infinity-twice.
I don't why I find them so funny, but I seriously cannot get enough Chuck Norris jokes. Its a disease!

La comida basura
So. Much. Junk. Food. Today.
But it was fantastic!
Peppermint bark, cheescake-brownies, candy canes, Cheerios...
Fun fun fun with Tiffany & Mai Linh. Watching Clueless, bits and pieces of Dreamgirls, and the episodes that have Brittney in How I Met Your Mother...priceless.
Playing w/ Mai Linh's new phone makes me want to get a cell phone. But this might be a problem, considering I don't talk on the phone all too often, or really like to talk on the phone in general. I'd say I'm more of a face-to-face kind of gal. But everyone has one now, and I feel the peer pressure! But I wouldn't keep losing everyone's numbers...but I would probably lose it...but it would be so useful when I go out, so I wouldn't have to freeload off of someone else's phone minutes...but it's so expensive!...but they're so pretty...
I'm so easily influenced!
Ugh, I feel disgusting and miserable. My nose is clogged up and my eyes are so tired, I think they're about to shut down on me. Being sick is a full time job!
Paul Rudd from Clueless! He reminds me a little bit of James Marsden

Altruism and Resurrection
Stupid essay! If I could pick to be good at something, it would be english and writing because even if you completely blow your SAT, you can write a bomb essay and you'll proably be alright! Or...so I think....
I feel quite introspective tonight. Maybe because my creative juices are flowing because of that essay. Maybe because I ate about 10 pieces of See's candy. Maybe because my fingers are actually warm for the first time today. This can go on all night...
I learned an important lesson today. No, 2 actually...
- Do NOT walk behind a car when a large puddle is right in front of it
- Do NOT wear a white jacket to dinner when curry is being served
Important life lessons!
How creative!

Yes!
Hooray! I have one name to cross off my Christmas gift list! One down, 10,000 to go....
Starbucks warms you up and burns your throat. So tasty ! Though next time, I need to get more shots of peppermint, because I can still taste too much coffee.
Stupid song! Get out of my head! Kanye West has dug his way into my head and permanently embeded "Love Lockdown" in my brain. Ah! Now this is just plain annoying... I'm not crazy about the song, but the album artwork is quite pretty...
But the new Killers is pretty good!
And Phil Wickham...

Lo siento
I just came back from the Mock Trial competition, and we lost! I feel so bad for everyone, they all worked so hard. Seriously, I think every single one of them was failing in school because they had to stay at school until 11 practicing and not doing their homework.....or at least just my sister. I wish I did something at school, be apart of some kind of group. I need to do something highschool-ly at FVHS, something!
Holy Cow. Its a 20x20 In-N-Out hamburger!! Slightly grotesque, but intriguing! People are disgusting...

Zoom zoom zooma zoom
Ahhh, I remember my elementary school days with the Roxy sweatshirts, Converse, and high ponytails. I was such a nerd! I used to slick back all my hair in a super high ponytail on top of my head, and I was so proud of it. All day, everyday. I used to get headaches because I pilled back my hair so tight! And gel! Gel was my close companion throught those years, never failing to slick back my flyaways until you saw the sun reflecting on the top of my head.
It makes me sad to see how fast kids are growing up these days. What happened to the good ol days where cell phones were scarcely seen and Zoom was the best show on TV? (Or was it that Mary-Kate and Ashley cartoon?) Now 2nd graders have cell phones! Crazzy kids
Kenny and Caroline from Zoom! I had the biggest crush on him when I was growing up...

Think about it
Flight of the Conchords is amazing! If you haven't watched the show yet, I must sit you down and for 5 or so hours and have a marathon. Hilarious!
My internet has been PMSing all week, and it only comes it in short bursts of time, so I'm trying yo type as fast as I can, but then I end up making more mistakes, and in the end, no one wins. Blech, I wish I had my own computer, it would make things so much easier. Right now I'm on my mom's new fancy-schmancy laptop, and its so incredibly fast, I can't process everything fast enough. I'm used to waiting to clicking on a page and having to wait a good 2 or 3 minutes for the page to finally pop up (where during that time, I usually do a couple homeowrk problems, or grab a snack in the kitchen), but this pops up in seconds! I bet everyone else's computer is like that except mine... eh, oh well, I'm used to it! (Kathy said that using myt computer taught her lessons on patience, so thats a bonnus!)
I finally finished reading A Tale of Two Cities by the great and comlicated Charles Dickens, and I really liked it! Once you get over the confusing language and lack of pictures, its a fantastic book.
Ok, I'm getting kicked off the computer now by my little sister....

Hiccups
And we're off! The Christmas decorations are up and the tree is alive and well. Just need to start my Christmas shopping with the incredibly low budget I have...time to get creative!
Daisy, my dad, and I spent an 1 1/2 hours at Home Depot picking out a Christmas tree. Right when you get into the lot, the smell of pine trees slams you in the face and you get into the holiday spirit. Daisy and I spent a good 45 minutes trying to look for a good tree while my dad was inside Home Depot returning some goods. After numerous attempts, and having a tree fall and me and tripping on a parking lot curb, we thought we found the perfect tree. Then my dad comes along, and we realize that the bottom was not full enough and it was crooked. Feeling depressed, Daisy and I dropped the tree and went out to search for another prospect, when my dad said, "How about this one." and grabbed a plant right beside him. We cut the strings off, and voila! Its our tree! What took my sister and I an hour took my dad 10 minutes.....
I think I might stay home next year!

Gentle rain
My mom bought this bottle of fabric freshner from Big Lots, and its kinda like Febreze. On the back of the bottle it says...
Eliminates smoke, cooking and pet odors from virtually all types of fabrics. Works quikly to safely clean odors fromo household fabrics, leaving only a light, refreshing scent of gentle rain.
How do you know what gentle rain smells like? Crazy folks!
I just finished cleaning my closet and it took longer than I thought it would, 30 minutes! I know I'm a slob, but I guess I didn't think it was that bad til now. I could have watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother in half an hour! Or made an omelette, or study for the multiple quizzes occuring tomorrow! Ah, I need someone to slap me in the face now and then and kick me off the computer to actually get things done...
mmmm....the house smells like cornbread and cinnamon pinecones! I love my mom
