Big Girl, You are Beautiful
My clothing is permeated with the smells of fried sweet potatoes and sauce. I shouldn't wear nice clothes to Phamily gatherings anymore! Although the food is good, I alawyas leave smelling like I swam in a pool of nouc mam and whatver's on the menu that evening.

Born to hand jive baby
Yum, Vietnamese food is tasty!
Yes, Lakers!
I wish school dances where like the ones in Grease. Maybe I'd actually go to them! John Travolta in the wonder years was pretty smoking also. I think I'm starting to feel the effects of too much food and 3 hours of volleyball.
Happy Saturday

HIMYM part 2
Fun day. School, walking home w/ Mai Linh and Tiffany, HIMYM season 3 disc 1, In-N-Out, wandering around Rite Aid, The Office, Jess (Milo!) and Logan from Gilmore Girls. Fun day.
Does everyone have a type? I think they secretly do, although many don't admit. For instance, I myself am more of a brunette kinda gal. I tend to find guys with brown, curly hair very attractive. Also guys who are half something, like 1/2 white and 1/2 Asian. On the other hand, my sister likes more of the white/surfer boy kinda thing. You know, blonde hair, gorgeous eyes. Pretty boys. Just one of the many thoughts that go racing around in my head on a daily basis.
Demitri Martin is AMAZING. Youtube. Search Dimitri Martin. Click on "Jokes with Guitar." Watch. Although it's about 14 minutes long, I think it's worth it!

Elephant Love Medley
Depending on how you look at it, I've had a productive Saturday so far. On one hand, I woke up, ate, read, showered, watched SNL clips, and it's 4:45. On the other hand, I've woken up, ate 2 bowls of Honey Nut Cheerios, finished an entire book, ate 2 tangerines, watched SNL clips, and its 4:46. Personally, I think it's been pretty productive.
I haven't read for the fun of it in the longest time. I started reading This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen at 9:00 this morning and finished at 1:00. Mission accomplished! I have this disease where once I start a book, I have to finish it, even if it takes the entire day. I arm myself with Ritz crackers and Jello cups and just read for hours on end. I remember I read the 5th Harry Potter book in 1 1/2 days. 600 pages. Mission accomplished! Nerd much?
"Elephant Love Medley" from Moulin Rouge is FANTASTIC!

Old folks
Well, that was interesting. My mom's lovely bosses decided that they had better things to do on a Friday night than go to see a symphony, so gave my mom 4 tickets in see "Arabian Nights" at the Henry and Renee Segerstrom Concert Hall. Sounds cool, right? Can't you just imagine Aladdin and flying carpets in your head? So Daisy, Mary, Kathy, and I decided to go. I know what rich old folks do on Friday nights now. The music was good, but I was so tired, I fell asleep. Classical music is nice, but sitting in a chair listening to an array of instruments for 3 hours is a bit too much for me right now. But the auditorium is gorgeous. Breath-taking. Superb. Magnificent. Big.I found out that Joanna's cousin is in Robot and the Beanstalk too! What a small world!

Aerobics is good for you!
hahaha, Everyday when I come home from school, I'm usually complaining from the lovely workouts that we do in 3rd period P.E. From running miles on end to kick-boxing with the heater turned on in the wrestling room, it's truly a kick in the butt. After seeing me sore from 8 Minute Abs and Billy Blank's Tae Bo, Daisy finally decided that she wanted to see what all the nonsense was about. So after dinner, I set to work Youtubing various wonderful exercise tapes. Success! At the beginning, Daisy was quite smug and confident about her physique. Thinking these exercises were going to be a piece of cake, she set to work on her abs. 3 minutes later she was exhausted and way lying on the floor in a pool of sweat. Okay, maybe not a pool, but she was sweating! Ha! Take that Daisy!

All Quiet on the Western Front
Please please please remind me not to read All Quiet on the Western Front at night again. I can just feel a nightmare coming on. Man, what a downer. It's hard to believe that while all this was going on, my grandparents were alive and maybe were as old as I am now. Although its not such a great feel good book, I have to admit its pretty good. Graphic, but good.
Geez, I feel so thankful right now

Telephone Conversations
Whoops, it's been awhile
For dinner tonight, I had some delicious Martha Stewart chili courtesy of Costco along with some cornbread and saltines. Sounds crazy, but I haven't had Vietnamese food all week! Well, I have to admit, I am more white-washed than your typical Asain person. I recall back in elementary school when my friends used to call my house and my parents would answer the phone. After getting handed the phone and saying "Hi," a couple people would always go, "Aimee...are you're parents white?!"
"Um, no. My parents are not white..."
hahaha, that always makes me laugh. I guess it's true that my parents do not have accents, but it's still pretty hilarious.
Another funny one was from my friend in elementary school, Sam
"Aimee, your mom's voice sounds like an angel!"
What exactly are you supposed to say to that?
"Uh...cool. Thanks?"
People can say quite interesting things sometimes!
